Join vs Relationships

Difference between #Join and a #Relationship in #Tableau!!

Join is like a Marriage whereas a #Relationshipsintableau is like a relation between two Lovers

Why?

When married, both people lose their individual identities and form a new entity called Family. Same ways in Joins, Tables lose their #granularity and form a new granularity based on the individual #levelofDetail.

In the same way, in Joins, #Tables lose Data based on what type of #join we #select

When in Love, the individuals live at their own place of residence and their place of the meeting depends on the #Context.

In the same way, in #Relationships, each Table lies at its own #LevelofGranularity and the type of #Join is decided by the context of the View.

In the process of Love, they don’t lose their identity (Except for their Heart) and they are still individuals. Similarly, in Relationships, there is no #Dataloss (Sadly Tableau doesn’t have a heart but a brain)
